how to apply
Applicants are asked to tell us about their:
• Educational goals
• Financial resources
• Living expenses
To qualify, an applicant must:
• Have a high school diploma or GED
• Be the single head of household with sole
custody of child(ren) under the age of
21
• Not be co-habiting with a former or
current spouse or partner
• Be a current recipient or applicant of the Pell Grant
• Be pursuing a career-oriented study
You will also have to provide:
• High school diploma, GED, or transcript
of any completed college courses
• Pell application or recipient letter
• Three letters of reference
• Proof of income
• Personal Goal statement
• Class schedule
• Proof spouse served in Iraq or Afghanistan,
between the ranks of E1-E9 (Surviving Spouse only)
NOTE: Applicants cannot already have earned an undergraduate degree.
ASPIRE Scholarships are distributed three times a year: Spring, Summer, Fall
Deadlines:
Spring Scholarship: October 31st
Summer Scholarship: March 31st
Fall Scholarship: June 30th
Applicants may reapply for each semester they are attending school but they must fill out a renewal application for each semester a scholarship is sought.
