A typical recipient of the Surviving Spouse Support Program is an underskilled, undereducated, and low-income single mother in her twenties to mid-thirties with young children.  Aspire's support provides financial asssistance to cover education related expenses, scholarhips, referrals to other community services, and emotional support to increase self-esteem and independence.
