PRIVACY POLICY

This Website is owned and operated by or on behalf of ASPIRE assisting single parents in realizing education.  We value your support and we are committed to protecting your privacy.  Our site is a safe environment for anyone who visits or makes a donation.  This statement is to address your concerns and to share with you our policy concerning your privacy.  It may be changed or updated at any time.

Our policy – ASPIRE and its affiliates use their best efforts to respect and protect the privacy of our online visitors and donors.  We do reserve the right to collect and share information about total donations or recognize and show appreciation for large or otherwise significant donations in our marketing campaigns.  We will in no way publish sensitive information such as names, addresses, phone numbers, account numbers, social security numbers (if obtained ) or email addresses without express written permission from our donors or visitors.

When you visit our site, we collect some non-identifying basic information.  This includes total number of visitors, pages viewed, and other non-identifying information.  We use this aggregate information to improve our site and to make your experience on our website as pleasant as possible.

Donations made online to ASPIRE or its affiliates are secure.  When you make a donation online we request your name, address, daytime phone, e-mail address and credit card information.  We use your mailing address to send your tax-deductible receipt(s), thank you notes, invitations to events, newsletters and other information we feel might be of interest to you.  We do not use for mailing purposes or correspondence any honoree or memorial email or other addresses you submit to send acknowledgement cards to without their written request to be on our mailing list.

Our use of “Cookies.”  Visitors or donors should be aware that non-personal information and data may be automatically collected by ASPIRE or its affiliates through the use of “cookies.”   “Cookies” are small text files that a website can use to recognize repeat visitors, facilitate the visitor’s ongoing access to and use of the site, and allow a site to track usage behavior and compile aggregate data that will allow content improvements.  Generally, “cookies” work by assigning a unique number to the visitor that has no meaning outside the assigning site.  If a visitor does not want information collected through the use of cookies, there is a simple procedure in most browsers that allows the visitor to deny or accept the “cookie” feature.

ASPIRE and its affiliates use “cookie” technology only to obtain non-personal information from its online visitors in order to improve visitors' online experience and facilitate their visit within the site.

Occasionally, ASPIRE and its affiliates use "cookies" to track the number of users who come to the site for special-occasion donation campaigns.  This information is used to determine how effective the campaign was and not to identify an individual user.

ASPIRE and its affiliates' websites are child-friendly and we welcome children to learn more about our organization.  However, children under the age of 18 should obtain parental consent to do so and before making any donations.

ASPIRE and its affiliates maintain a policy to discontinue contacting any person upon that person’s oral or written request direct to ASPIRE, its affiliates, or other agents.

We do not share your personal information with any third party.  It is our policy not to sell, trade or rent your personal information to anyone.  We reserve the right to change our policy at any time.  If we choose to change our policy, you will be given the option to remove your name from our database.

We may disclose in some marketing or informational formats aggregate statistics regarding donations, but these statistics do not include any personally identifying information.  We may also disclose other anonymous information regarding scholarships, recipient background information, family conditions, and other non-identifying aggregate information that is used in marketing efforts and in encouraging fundraising partnerships.

We use a third-party financial institution to process our credit card transactions.  They receive the credit card number and other personal information of our donors only to verify the credit card information and to process credit card transactions in a secure environment.

Our online credit card verification system is handled by a third party, which collects your name, address, phone, credit card number and expiration date in order to process your transaction.  Their encryption technology offers the highest level of security available on the Internet today.  Our third party provider will not sell your individual data for any reason.  They do track the information and provide it to ASPIRE and its affiliates which is used for donor tracking only.

Contributions may also be made by calling (866) 973-0805.
